Spot Bitcoin ETFs in the United States recorded net outflows of $278.4 million on June 5 and $47.8 million on June 6. The largest outflows on June 5 were from ARK Invest’s ARKB ($102 million) and Fidelity’s FBTC ($80.2 million), while BlackRock’s IBIT registered a $130.5 million outflow on June 6. Over the week, Bitcoin ETFs saw a total net outflow of $131.6 million. BlackRock sold 1,250 BTC worth $130.5 million, while Fidelity bought 224.72 BTC worth $22.8 million.
In contrast, spot Ethereum ETFs posted 15 consecutive days of net inflows as of June 6, with $11.3 million added on June 5 and $25.3 million on June 6. This marks the longest inflow streak for Ethereum ETFs in 2025. Weekly data shows Ethereum ETFs had $265 million in net inflows, and year-to-date inflows have surpassed $3 billion. Since May 20, Ethereum ETFs have attracted $812 million in inflows.
BlackRock has been the leading buyer, with its iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA) recording $576 million in inflows over the past two weeks, accounting for 71% of the period's total ETH ETF inflows. ETHA has seen over $492 million in inflows across nine consecutive trading days and $15.9 million in inflows on June 6. ETHA leads all Ethereum ETFs in cumulative net flows, surpassing $4.8 billion. Fidelity’s Wise Origin Ether Fund (FETH) followed with $123 million in inflows over the past 14 days.
On May 22, ETH ETFs saw a single-day inflow record of $110.5 million. Despite Ethereum’s price declining 6% over the past two weeks, ETF inflows have remained positive. Institutional interest in Ethereum ETFs has surpassed $1 billion in the first quarter of 2025, with investment advisers and hedge funds leading allocations.
Meanwhile, institutional Bitcoin ETF holdings dropped 23% in Q1 2025, from $27.4 billion to $21.2 billion.
