The National Hockey League (NHL), National Hockey League Players’ Association (NHLPA), and all 32 NHL Clubs have united to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community ahead of June's Pride Month. The NHL has invested more than $75,000 in LGBTQ+ organizations and hockey tournaments this season. Additionally, the U.S. women's and men's soccer teams will wear jerseys with rainbow-themed numbers inspired by Pride as part of their partnership with the LGBTQ+ charity You Can Play Project. Signed jerseys will be auctioned off, with proceeds donated to charity.
