He emphasized the importance of creating memories for the players and received praise for his coaching abilities. Congrats to Michigan on throttling St John’s at MSG. Just a note about this complete Mensch of a man currently filling in the big chair at Michigan. Phil Martelli is an incredible guardian of the game. He has counseled me and 100s of others in coaching and basketball. https://t.co/FKwyZVae9k
Phil Martelli has been the mastermind behind Michigan for the last couple of years. One of the best coaches in the country. Still an absolute tragedy that when Saint Joe’s got a new AD she got rid of him. One of the worst moves in recent CBB history, in my opinion.
big day for the Martelli family: Phil Sr. coaches Michigan to win over St. John's in Garden. Phil Jr. takes over at Bryant for the rest of year on interim basis after Jarred Grasso resigns.
