Porto has appointed Italian coach Francesco Farioli as Anselmi's successor, signing him to a contract through 2027. Farioli, who previously managed Ajax, Nice, and Alanyaspor, was chosen by Porto president André Villas-Boas, who expressed full confidence in him for the club's future. Farioli's contract includes a €15 million release clause, matching the amount Villas-Boas' own contract buyout was when Chelsea acquired him in 2011.
