Chennai Super Kings fast bowler Matheesha Pathirana has returned to Sri Lanka to recover from a hamstring injury sustained during the IPL 2024 season. Pathirana, who took 13 wickets in six matches, missed the home fixture against Punjab Kings in Chennai and will also miss the reverse fixture in Dharamsala. His absence leaves Richard Gleeson as the only overseas fast bowler in the CSK squad.
