Fan favourites in every part of the country. Gushue ran to the media area, did an interview with us, and ran back out to take photos with the fans. This stuff matters. And this team gets it. https://t.co/TSPbYk4dVI

The school kids are at the Brier today I remember getting to go to the Saskatoon Brier in 2000 with my class. I was captivated by it. And it led my to wanting to play the game and cover the game. That’ll no doubt be the case for some of these kids here today. Love it. https://t.co/aXWuOA6Gui

Here’s a look at the Last Stone Draw standings, which certainly could play a factor today. Especially in Pool A where three teams are 5-1 and Dunstone is at 4-2. It was a factor in the five-way tie at the Scotties. Might be that way at the Brier as well. https://t.co/tUvTOsuILb
Good morning from Regina sports fans. It feels like -30 and I need coffee. But the temperature is rising later today and the intensity is rising at the Brier. By tonight the field of 18 teams will be trimmed to just 6. And how we get there is going to be an adventure. https://t.co/BndqAxDJh2

Mike McEwen is FOCUSED I just asked him at the beginning of this if someone told him he’d be 6-1 and lock up first in the Pool on Wednesday night. “I’d believe it,” he said. He wants his first Brier title so bad. And mission one is accomplished. https://t.co/MwgNYunnv8

Taking a nap on this flight to the homeland. See you at the Brandt Centre for a doozy of a matchup between Saskatchewan (4-1) and Northwest Territories (4-1) Find all the coffee and inject it into my veins.
Northern Ontario and Northwest Territories a combined 9-2 through 11 games at the Brier. Sensational curling by teams from the north. Truly wonderful to see.
Dunstone gives up the steal of one to go down two with hammer in the final end. Thoughts? Easier to score three for the win or steal one for the win. Paging @CurlingZone for percentages of winning in each scenario
Carruthers for the win. 7-3 victory over New Brunswick Manitoba is now 4-1 which will be good enough for a tie for first in Pool A by the end of this draw.
Ontario for the win over Yukon. Team Howard now 3-3 and still alive in Pool A.
Northern Ontario goes up 5-3 on BC now in the 8th end, Trevor Bonot and company are for real folks. And a win tonight puts them at 5-1.
That was a brilliant 7th end by Dunstone. The way he positioned those rocks and then executed his shots was a curling masterclass. And it leads to three against Bottcher. It’s a 5-4 Dunstone lead heading to the 8th end.
Four-time champion Kevin Koe crashes out of contention at Brier https://t.co/PkdrPesd1G https://t.co/2WhVl112FV
"I've never missed so many draws in my life." Team Koe is in uncharted territory this year's Brier, sitting out of playoff contention in an event he's won four times. @KrRutherford has the story from Regina. https://t.co/2AkzNWWUYi

There have only been three different skips to win the Brier the last 8 years. Gushue 5 Koe 2 Bottcher 1 Pat Simmons in Calgary the last to win it outside of those three. Might there be a new name this year?
This is when experience really starts to pay off at the Brier. It's a granite grind. And that line between winning and losing is razor thin. But it's about right now in the competition experience pays off. We'll see if that's the case once again in Regina.
To the airport! Always to the airport. Less than 24 hours in Toronto. I’m coming home, Saskatchewan. Rinkside Brier coverage starts tomorrow morning until the last piece of granite stops.
