Thiago Almada, a 22-year-old midfielder for Atlanta United, has been named the 2023 MLS Young Player of the Year. Almada, who also won the 2022 World Cup with Argentina, recorded 11 goals and 19 assists in his second MLS season. He expressed his desire to play in Europe after finishing the current season in MLS.
