Steve Cooper, the manager of #NFFC, has been sacked, leading to divided opinions. Some believe it was inevitable due to issues behind the scenes and a strained relationship with the club's owner, while others criticize the decision, citing Cooper's strong connection with the fans and his successful track record. The club's environment is described as 'unpleasant and fractious,' with accusations of signing players without Cooper's knowledge. The sacking has sparked debates about the club's future and the suitability of the new manager, Nuno.

Most of the people who know the truth are amazed Steve Cooper lasted as long as he did. Attitudes had hardened on both sides. All sorts of issues behind the scenes and, ultimately, a broken relationship with the #NFFC owner. So here's the truth β€΅οΈ https://t.co/as9hYFZj0R
Sacking a popular manager sometimes works. But I don't see #NFFC sacking Cooper as similar to So'ton going from Adkins to Pochettino or Brighton going from Hughton to Potter. They were stable clubs with a clear vision. #NFFC is run on the owner's impulses https://t.co/TYYzzVnhWE
I think we all know which way it's heading with Steve Cooper. Everyone, on both sides, is preparing for it. Such a shame though - it's rare to find a manager with that connection to fans. And, overall, what a brilliant job he did. He's been immense, absolutely immense, for #NFFC
