The Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL) has taken steps to avoid a repeat of the VAR error that occurred during the Liverpool match. Howard Webb, the PGMOL chief, has expressed support for a global review of VAR that could result in adjustments being made. Webb also revealed that the decision to give a red card to Malo Gusto of Chelsea was clear, despite a mistake being made. Former Premier League striker Robert Earnshaw believes that involving ex-players could help improve VAR's decision-making process. The Sun's Charlie Wyett hopes that automated offside decisions will be introduced to the Premier League next season. Currently, playing out the conversation between referees and VARs live is prohibited. However, the use of in-stadium VAR announcements is expected to be extended beyond FIFA events, providing a more transparent experience for spectators. FA boss Mark Bullingham supports the idea of hearing the working out of VAR decisions, but referees are against it.
