Michele Kang has expanded her club empire by acquiring London City Lionesses, a team in the Barclay's Women's Championship, just before the year-end deadline. Kang already owns Spirit in the NWSL and Lyon. Her goal includes promoting London City Lionesses to the top of the WSL and expanding to other continents.

I expect these journalistic ethical lapses from the inexperienced reporters at @sfstandard (they’ve sadly had many) but @KQED should know better. https://t.co/04gNiDKyez
Michele Kang, the owner of the Washington Spirit US soccer team, has acquired the London City Lionesses Football Club in a push to build out her multi-club strategy in women’s football https://t.co/jyyh7Rausb
I spoke with Michele Kang earlier this year for @ESPNFC about her targeted acquisitions, and expanding to other continents is clearly a goal. Click the link for more on her master plan for the Spirit, Lyon, and beyond 👇 https://t.co/nxpt2l7fc0
Michele Kang said she'd add more clubs to her growing empire before the end of the year. She's done so just under the wire of the self-imposed deadline: Kang has acquired London City Lionesses, currently of the Barclay's Women's Championship. Already owns Spirit (#NWSL) + Lyon.
Michele Kang has acquired the Championship club London City Lionesses, another "foundational block" in her global multi-club organization. And yes, the goal is promotion and top of the WSL. @TheAthletic https://t.co/pNIMuAjcXR
whenever Michele Kang buys a new club i remember how the previous Spirit owner tried to price her out of buying them and i'm like did you not know that she's Rich rich or...?
How do you build an #NWSL team from scratch? I spoke with various members of @wearebayfc over the past six months to go inside their coaching search, player scouting, and business buildout. Pulling back the curtain on the process, for @ESPNFC: 🔗👇https://t.co/9UyA4ejADY
