Juventus has reached a verbal agreement to sign Canada international Jonathan David on a free transfer after the striker’s contract with Lille expired at the end of June, according to multiple outlet reports. The 25-year-old has accepted a long-term deal that will make him the Turin club’s first new signing of the summer window.

David is expected to arrive in Turin on Friday for a medical before the contract is finalised.
