Brentford faced a challenging match against West Ham, with a poor start leading to a 4-2 defeat. Defensive lapses and lack of composure were evident as Brentford struggled to contain West Ham's attacks. Manager Thomas Frank hinted at possible changes following the loss.
What has gone wrong at Brentford? ✍️ @MrDomSmith https://t.co/VzNxkKN4rY
😱 #BrentfordFC’s 4-2 defeat to #WHUFC was shocking. They never recovered from conceding twice in the opening 10 minutes and let Bowen run wild 🐝 Unpicked what went wrong and the impact of Everton’s points deduction being reduced @TheAthleticFC https://t.co/nAkS3B7VAP
"People have different strategies when they talk about referees.... Bowen was unplayable, we lost the game fair and square." 🤐 Thomas Frank was cautious in how he responded to Brentford's 4-2 loss to West Ham 👀 https://t.co/dAKi2KxN2k
This Brentford season has been decidedly un-fun.
This could get worse. Brentford need to settle down and show some composure quickly.
4-1. Emerson with a rocket from the edge of the box. Horrendous defensive performance from Brentford.
Brentford have three centre-backs on the pitch and somehow Jarrod Bowen was left completely unmarked in the box for that header.
A terrible start to the game left Brentford with a lot of work to do and they go in at HT against West Ham 2-1 down. I wouldn't be surprised if Thomas Frank made a few personnel and/or system changes.
You know Brentford have got problems when the players are having an inquest in the middle of the pitch after seven minutes.
Dreadful start from #BrentfordFC A minute after Soucek blazes the ball over the bar, Bowen rifles a shot past Flekken. I'm not sure Brentford have got out of their own half yet. The pressure has been relentless. 1-0.
