Federal prosecutors in Oregon have charged four affiliates of a Mexican crime syndicate with trafficking over one metric ton of liquid heroin in a moving truck. In a separate incident, Seattle Police Department detectives seized more than 30 pounds of methamphetamine, arrested two brothers, and recovered 400 grams of suspected heroin and $5,500 in cash as part of a months-long narcotics operation. Additionally, two individuals were arrested in Llano County after a month-long narcotics investigation. In San Pedro, police arrested two men for selling drugs out of an RV parked next to a homeless encampment, which was not home to any unhoused individuals but was being used solely for narcotics sales and consumption.
