NASA is preparing for a series of spacewalks at the International Space Station (ISS). The first of these spacewalks is scheduled for Thursday at 8am ET, where NASA astronauts Tracy C. Dyson and Matt Dominick will exit the station to retrieve radio gear and collect microbial samples from the exterior of the ISS. This 6.5-hour mission aims to investigate extremophiles, organisms that can survive in extreme temperatures ranging from 248°F to -148°F.
