Recent genetic studies have illuminated the ancestry and Y-DNA composition of various European and North African populations. The Corded Ware Culture, which existed in Europe approximately 4,500 years ago, has been found to be closely descended from the Yamnaya people through accurate detection of identity-by-descent segments in human ancient DNA. A map of the Y haplogroup R1b-L23, ancestral to most West European men and dating back to 4100BC, was created using data from a significant 23andme database leak involving 2.2 million men. Additionally, a comprehensive project mapping the Y-DNA composition of rural West Moroccan Arabs was completed, with efforts to ensure a varied sample collection. Studies also include Y-DNA analysis from Hungarians and Romanians based on a pretty recent paper with a decent sample size, as well as the Y-DNA haplogroups from the remains of the two largest mass burials at Yaroslavl Detynets from the Medieval period.

Perhaps my biggest project yet... The Y-DNA Composition of (Rural) West Moroccan Arabs. All thanks goes to everyone that contributed to the map! I tried my best to find as many varied samples as possible, but this is all I could get my hands on while avoiding duplication. https://t.co/GHVPulNsDD
