Recent law enforcement operations across the United States have resulted in significant drug seizures and arrests. In San Francisco, a major crackdown has led to 500 arrests and the seizure of 700 pounds of fentanyl since last year. In Southern California, over 100 individuals were arrested in a massive drug bust. Additionally, the Polk County Sheriff's Office, in collaboration with multiple agencies, arrested four people and seized 14 kilograms (approximately 30 pounds) of fentanyl worth $3.5 million. The DEA also confiscated over $8 million in illegal drugs, including fentanyl and heroin, in a separate investigation. Furthermore, U.S. Customs and Border Protection at the Port of Nogales intercepted more than 400 pounds of fentanyl, 253 lbs of meth, 3.6 lbs of heroin, and 1.2 million fentanyl pills. In a related development, the New York state attorney general announced a $270 million settlement with Amneal Pharmaceuticals over its role in the opioid crisis, and the FBI in Miami secured $1.536 billion in fines from Endo Health Solutions for distributing misbranded opioid medication.
