On Thursday, nine people suspected of drug dealing in San Francisco's Tenderloin neighborhood were arraigned, and they have all pleaded not guilty. The court agreed to hold six of the suspects and set bail for one. The San Francisco District Attorney's Office reported that five out of these nine individuals had been previously arrested for drug dealing while released on recognizance for other felony narcotics cases. Additionally, there are 567 dealers with open bench warrants in the city. District Attorney Brooke Jenkins highlighted the public safety risks posed by the open-air drug markets in the Tenderloin and SOMA and thanked the SFPD and other law enforcement partners for their efforts in arresting the suspected drug traffickers.
The courts agreed to hold 6 and set bail for 1 of these organized drug dealers. But, It's also worth noting that there's currently 567 dealers out there with open bench warrants who the courts released. We really need new judges in San Francisco. https://t.co/58qZdjjS70
