The Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) held a retirement celebration for its legacy fleet of trains today at MacArthur Station Plaza. The event, which began at 12pm with a ceremony at 1pm, featured food trucks, activities, raffles, and more. Attendees had the opportunity to take a final ride on these historic trains, which were first introduced with features like carpeted floors and seats for everyone, and even plans for onboard movies. Additionally, special BART ticket magnets, made by a neighbor of a BART representative, were distributed to attendees until supplies ran out.
