Ukrainian forces have successfully repelled multiple Russian assaults in recent days, inflicting notable losses on Russian armored units. On April 14, the Ukrainian 72nd Mechanized Brigade thwarted a Russian attempt to breach their defenses, resulting in the destruction of 4 armored personnel carriers (APCs), 2 tanks, approximately 20 Russian soldiers, and 2 support vehicles. Additionally, the 82nd Air Assault Brigade also repelled an assault in the Kursk region, destroying 1 tank, 3 APCs, and 2 Chinese Desertcross ATVs. On April 16, the 5th Assault Brigade, alongside the 93rd Mechanized Brigade and PHOENIX UAV regiment, effectively countered a massive Russian offensive, which included four waves of attacks. Ukrainian forces reported the destruction of 9 armored vehicles and the elimination of Russian infantry during these engagements. Concurrently, Ukrainian UAVs targeted the 112th Guards Missile Brigade in the Ivanovo region, with reports of increased drone activity in the area. Eyewitness accounts noted no injuries or significant damage from these UAV strikes, although Russian reports indicated that two individuals were injured during a drone attack in the same region.
