Qatar is nearing an £800 million deal to host the Nations Championship finals series after entering exclusive negotiations with Six Nations and SANZAAR. The proposal includes guarantees of £800 million in revenue for Six Nations Rugby and SANZAAR for the first four editions of the final series. Qatar Airways is lined up as the title sponsor for the eight-year deal. This move follows a trend seen in other sports and comes at a time when rugby is facing financial challenges. The deal is part of a larger €940 million agreement.
