England secured a narrow victory against Wales in a rugby match. Ben Earl and Tommy Reffell stood out in the game, with Earl being named Man of the Match. Wales showed improvement but fell short, losing by a small margin.
Tommy Reffell, best player on the pitch yesterday? Alex Mann only sealed his spot in @Cardiff_Rugby’s 23 a few weeks ago - and initially as a consequence of injuries to others - but what a start to his Test career. @EnglandRugby won but Wales must be saying “If only …” https://t.co/UnP7K4KSa5
Every so often the man-of-the-match is overlooked because he didn’t finish up on the winning side, none more so than Tommy Reffell at Twickenham: magnificent from start to finish. Ben Earl got the MoM gong but Wales did the country proud.
Thought Wales a significant improve on first half of last week. At points, tried to play rugby. Lineout much better. Tommy Refell deserves a statue. English defence just smothering.
England just about deserved the win. Had more territorial dominance in the second half. Guile of George Ford and aerial superiority of Steward suffocated Wales, who were living off scraps. Wales have lost two games by three points in total, with a very callow side. Progress.
🏴 FULL TIME 🏴 A fortunate win for England. Never really managed to get going today. Earl snatched a try against the odds whilst down two players and then a well-worked finish from scrum dominance. Earl Man of the Match, but Tommy Reffell pushed him close. https://t.co/MiqZmD8qn5
