Swiss AMINA Bank, BitMEX Adopt Ripple’s RLUSD Stablecoin

Swiss-regulated AMINA Bank, formerly known as SEBA Bank, has become the first banking institution to support Ripple’s dollar-pegged stablecoin RLUSD. The FINMA-licensed lender said it will provide custody and trading services for the token to institutional and private clients, giving the newly launched stablecoin a compliant foothold in Europe’s financial system.

In a separate move the same day, crypto-derivatives platform BitMEX announced it is now accepting RLUSD as margin collateral for futures and other leveraged products, making it the first exchange to integrate the asset into its trading stack. The twin adoptions broaden market access and liquidity for RLUSD beyond Ripple’s own payments network.

Ripple unveiled RLUSD earlier this year as a fully backed, 1-for-1 dollar stablecoin aimed at institutional users. The endorsements by a Swiss bank and a major derivatives venue mark early progress in the company’s strategy to position the token as a regulated bridge between traditional finance and digital-asset markets.
