In a dramatic turn of events at Texas Motor Speedway, Ryan Sieg, after an incredible performance where he surged from 10th to the lead in less than 4 laps, was on the verge of his first career NASCAR win. With 18 laps remaining, Sieg took the lead, showcasing a thrilling battle against Sam Mayer. Despite leading with just one lap to go and maintaining a three-quarter of a second lead with 10 laps remaining, Sieg was ultimately overtaken by Mayer in a nail-biting finish. Mayer's victory came after he closed in on Sieg, moving fast off of Turn 2 and getting alongside him, eventually winning the race. Sieg, who had a 1.2-second lead with seven laps to go and led by 2 tenths with one lap to go, was painfully denied his first win but was acknowledged for his tremendous finish.
