NASCAR's All-Star Race returns to North Wilkesboro Speedway in 2024, after 27-year hiatus

NASCAR has announced that the All-Star Race will be returning to the historic North Wilkesboro Speedway in 2024. The decision was influenced by a $4 million incentive and language in the latest North Carolina state budget. The race will take place on Sunday, May 19, and will be part of a week-long celebration that includes the CARS Tour. This marks the first time in 27 years that NASCAR will hold a race at North Wilkesboro Speedway. In preparation for the event, the track will undergo repaving for the first time in over 40 years. Speedway Motorsports is expected to make an official announcement regarding the race at the state capitol.
