To commemorate the Petty family's 75th anniversary in NASCAR, a series of unique art installations titled "The King's Hat" has been unveiled. Each installation, designed by Daytona International Speedway, will be displayed at various NASCAR and Speedway Motorsports-owned tracks, as well as Indianapolis Motor Speedway, World, throughout the racing season. The project features 28 life-size sculptures, each tailored to the location it's found in, with the first revealed being a six-foot tall, 1,000-pound statue made of fiberglass and concrete. Fans are encouraged to interact with the installations by taking photos with the sculptures at different tracks and sharing them using the hashtag #Petty75. The initiative also includes a special token given by the Petty family to all Daytona 500 drivers as a gesture of celebration.
