Justin Haley, driving for Rick Ware Racing, finished 17th in the NASCAR Cup race at Circuit of the Americas but was disqualified due to the car being underweight in post-race inspection. Rick Ware Racing decided not to appeal the disqualification. Additionally, there were no penalties for the Roper No. 04 truck team after a rear axle issue at the same race.
