In a related development, Dawson Cram and JD Motorsports have obtained a primary sponsorship from Xpress Auto Glass for the Xfinity race at Martinsville, following the Richmond incident where Gase's bumper cover was thrown at Cram's car. This deal was finalized today. Despite the crash with Cram, Gase and his team managed to prepare two cars for the Martinsville race, with Gase driving car No. 53 and Akinori Ogata taking the wheel of car No. 35.
