The wreckage of an Indian Air Force An-32 aircraft, which went missing over the Bay of Bengal in 2016, has been found approximately 140 nautical miles from the Chennai coast. The National Institute of Ocean Technology and Indian Air Force confirmed the discovery, providing closure to the long-pending sad accident. The aircraft was carrying 29 people, including IAF officer Laxmikant, and the discovery brings hope to the families of the victims.
