Recent data indicates that wages have outpaced inflation in nearly every state since 2021. Democrats claim that national wages have risen by an average of $3,800, despite a Consumer Price Index (CPI) increase of 19.3% and average hourly earnings rising by 16.6%. In California, average wages and salaries have increased by $22,307, outpacing price increases by almost $9,500. Similarly, in Massachusetts, average wages and salaries rose nearly $21,000, surpassing price increases by more than $9,000. Republicans, however, dispute these claims, pointing out that prices have risen by 19.4% while average weekly earnings have increased by closer to 17% during President Biden's tenure.
Republicans are quick to talk about prices, but not wage growth. That's because they don't want to tell you the facts, and the fact is @POTUS is putting more money in your pocket. In Mass, average wages and salaries rose nearly $21k, outpacing price increases by more than $9k. https://t.co/RC9h7mkV7I

Fact check: Joe's wrong on wages. "Wage increases have exceeded the cost of inflation," said Biden. Over the three and a half years of the Biden presidency prices are up 19.4% and average weekly earnings up closer to 17%. https://t.co/JfbfIu0uJW
Democrats our with something today saying that real wages have risen $3,800 on avg since 1/21. I can't claim to understand their methodology and I'm not questioning it. But CPI during that time is up 19.3% and avg hourly earnings are up 16.6%, a gap of 2.7pp. So there's that.
