The United States' cybersecurity agency has launched a program to enhance election security across states, aiming to reassure voters about the safety and accuracy of this year's presidential elections. The initiative, intended to support local election offices, comes as the nation prepares for the election year with various threats to election systems. In response, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) unveiled the #Protect2024 website to provide a central portal for state and local election officials. This portal offers access to free election security services, trainings, and resources. The move has been positively received, with stakeholders expressing gratitude for the peaceful and violence-free conduct of the General Elections-2024. Security forces, including the armed forces, law enforcement agencies, and police, were acknowledged for their pivotal role in ensuring a secure electoral process, especially in sensitive areas such as Balochistan and KPK. Eric Goldstein, Executive Assistant Director for Cybersecurity, spoke at the National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS) on cybersecurity challenges and resilience building. The Election Commission of Pakistan, Interim Provincial Governments, Civil Armed Forces, and media were also appreciated for their efforts.
