UN Special Rapporteur on the occupied Palestinian territory Francesca Albanese told a UN human-rights forum that Israel is responsible for “one of the cruelest genocides in modern history,” accusing the country of using Gaza as a testing ground for new weapons and engineering conditions meant to exterminate or forcibly displace the enclave’s population.
