A series of tweets have raised concerns over the safety of Uber's ride-sharing service following an incident where a user, Jason Levin, claimed an Uber driver attempted to abduct his fiancée to the Bronx instead of her intended destination from UWS to Chelsea. Levin detailed receiving a distressing text from his fiancée at 1:37, indicating the driver was taking her to East Harlem. Despite attempts to report the incident to the NYPD, who refused to take the license plate information, and Uber, Levin expressed frustration over the lack of response. The incident has sparked a broader discussion on social media about the safety measures and vetting processes employed by Uber, with users questioning the company's hiring practices and the security of its service. Another user, AJDelgado13, expressed skepticism about the abduction claim, suggesting it might be a misunderstanding.

Today it's this guy, who's CONVINCED his fiancee (who prob got in the wrong Uber), was being abducted 'to the Bronx' by this driver https://t.co/oNjbBZyPhF
