Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is partnering with British Columbia to address high housing costs and long project timelines. The initiative, BC Builds, aims to create more affordable homes using public land, with plans to build 8,000 to 10,000 new homes for middle-class Canadians. Similar agreements have been made in Edmonton, Cape Breton Regional Municipality, and Membertou First Nation, with a focus on building homes faster and at affordable prices. The Housing Accelerator Fund is set to change the construction landscape, leading to hundreds of thousands of new homes across Canada.
