Recent reports and studies have highlighted an ongoing issue in U.S. colleges regarding faculty diversity. Despite improvements over the last two decades, Black and Latino professors are still underrepresented compared to the student body and professionals in other fields with advanced degrees. The Tri-Caucus Chairs, comprising various ethnic congressional caucuses, have called on Democratic leadership to strengthen the Office of Diversity & Inclusion to address these disparities. A new government study supports these findings, and lawmakers, including Rep. Wilson and @BobbyScott, are urging for increased efforts to enhance diversity on college campuses.
