Those charged include multiple public officials, such as Pearsall City Council members and a Pearsall ISD trustee, accused of collecting and submitting absentee ballots improperly during election campaigns. The Attorney General emphasized his commitment to protecting Texans' data privacy and ensuring fair elections.
