Taiwan Monitors PLA Navy Shandong Carrier Strike Group in Taiwan Strait Amid Chinese Pressure

Taiwan's Ministry of Defence reported that the PLA Navy Shandong Carrier Strike Group and 13 PLA aircraft, along with 5 PLAN vessels, were detected around Taiwan. Some of the aircraft had crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait and entered Taiwan’s SE ADIZ. Taiwan's military is monitoring the Chinese aircraft carrier in the Taiwan Strait. President Tsai Ing-wen said Taiwan will emphasize the importance of peace at the upcoming APEC summit, amid Chinese pressure.
