Senator Josh Hawley from Missouri is pushing for the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act to be attached to Senate floor proceedings, seeking more compensation for victims of radiation exposure as a partial shutdown deadline approaches. Hawley is also advocating for a standalone vote on a bill to assist victims of nuclear contamination, which was removed from the NDAA. His efforts have garnered support from various individuals, including JMoylanforGuam.

There’s some hope the Senate will start voting on the CR before 6, there would be a series of votes. Separately Sen. Hawley is seeking a commitment to get a standalone vote on bill to provide assistance for victims of nuclear contamination. That got stripped out of the NDAA
