The Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) has been the subject of intense discussions and controversies. A report by @RepubSentinel revealed that one-third of the SBC Cooperation Group has female pastors. There are calls for a new SBC President who is biblically headstrong, yet humble, and unwilling to compromise with worldly wisdom. Additionally, there is a concern that SBC leaders have been working to 'Keller-ize' the SBC, moving it towards a loosely evangelical egalitarian direction, which is not aligned with the desires of the majority of SBC faithful. Furthermore, there is a revelation that Eastside is not affiliated with the SBC, raising questions about the use of non-denominational egalitarians by @NAMB_SBC and @sendnetwork to train SBC church planters.
The obvious choice for SBC President is right there... https://t.co/I3CKzrXnAL https://t.co/r73KcUbO6h
Southern Baptist laity need to understand our leaders over the last decade have been actively working to Keller-ize the SBC. Of course, the vast majority of SBC faithful wouldn’t want this. They want to be Bible-believing Baptists, not a loosely evangelical egalitarian blob.
Update: Eastside is not affiliated with the SBC. How did I get that wrong? Because I assumed that @NAMB_SBC and @sendnetwork would be using SBC pastors to train SBC church planters. Apparently, they are using non-denominational egalitarians. That's actually worse.
The SBC finds itself in a whirlwind of controversy. We need a biblically headstrong, yet humble leader. One who stands upon the clear teaching of Scripture and is unwilling to compromise with worldly wisdom. A man who will toe the line of biblical fidelity.
My opinion for SBC President. We need a fresh pair of eyes on the SBC situation. Someone who is not on EC. Someone not on “Sex Abuse Task Force.” Both men being nominated love Jesus and the church. Nothing personal, just my opinion.
If church women were significantly better than the general population - you wouldn’t see men leaving the church. Men would be lining up to come find a wife, but instead you see the opposite.
If you are SBC, you need to check out this commentary from @jonharris1989 and @William_E_Wolfe breaking down Bart Barber's comments on the state of the SBC. A very incisive breakdown of the dynamics at play. https://t.co/2M7pkE5v2V

This was a very helpful discussion between @jonharris1989 and @William_E_Wolfe. They cited our @RepubSentinel report noting that one-third of the SBC Cooperation Group has female pastors at their churches. https://t.co/DUYz8CwRrb
