Several prominent Republican senators, including Lisa Murkowski, Susan Collins, and Mitt Romney, have announced they will not be attending a scheduled meeting with former President Donald Trump and Senate Republicans on Thursday. Murkowski and Collins cited scheduling conflicts, with Collins adding that she did not see a purpose for her attendance. Romney, a known critic of Trump, stated that he has a flight at 2 o'clock and cannot make it. Bob Good, whose primary is next week and whose challenger has been endorsed by Trump, declined to comment on whether he would attend the meeting. Bill Cassidy is trying to work out his schedule, and Young is taking the McConnell approach by not answering Trump-related questions.
