The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) received reports of vessels being targeted by missiles, with one vessel sustaining damage while others reported explosions nearby. The Houthi rebel group in Yemen claimed responsibility for some of the attacks, including targeting an American destroyer and a Panama-flagged, Vietnamese-owned tanker. Despite the attacks, the crews of the targeted vessels were reported unharmed.
