Representative Matt Gaetz of Florida has taken advantage of a new procedural rule to orchestrate the removal of Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy, in an effort to push for progress on the congressional spending debate. Gaetz has called on the House GOP conference to select the next Speaker in a transparent manner, citing the previous removal of McCarthy as an example. Gaetz's actions have sparked discussions among editors about the plan behind his move.

So, basically Gaetz led the ouster of McCarthy as Speaker with absolutely no plan on what do after that?
