Israel-Hamas Conflict Sparks Surge in Antisemitic Incidents Globally, Threat of Attacks on US Soil Raised, France, Iran, New York City, and Los Angeles Impacted

The recent conflict between Israel and Hamas has led to a surge in antisemitic incidents globally, with European Jews being particularly affected. France has reported a staggering 819 antisemitic acts since the Hamas massacre in Israel, almost twice as many as reported in all of 2022. FBI Director Christopher Wray has warned of the potential for Hamas-inspired attacks on American soil, with Iran also making assassination attempts against US government officials. Antisemitic and anti-Arab hate crimes have skyrocketed in New York City and Los Angeles since the start of the conflict. The threat of terrorist attacks on the US has been raised to a 'whole other level' according to Wray, who also highlighted the historic levels of antisemitism in the country.
