The US Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation have closed their long-running investigation into Jeffrey Epstein, determining that the convicted sex offender killed himself in his Manhattan jail cell on 10 August 2019. A two-page memorandum dated 6 July, obtained by Axios, states that investigators found “no evidence” Epstein kept a client list, blackmailed influential figures or was murdered.
To support the finding, the agencies released roughly 11 hours of raw and enhanced corridor footage from the Metropolitan Correctional Center. Officials said the video shows no one entering the tier where Epstein was housed during the hours leading up to his death, reinforcing the New York City medical examiner’s original suicide ruling.
According to the memo, teams reviewed more than 300 gigabytes of digital data and thousands of physical documents. While the material included images of more than 1,000 victims, the review uncovered no incriminating records linking uncharged third parties to sex-trafficking crimes and therefore provided no basis for further prosecutions.
The Justice Department said it will not release additional Epstein-related files, citing court orders and the privacy of victims. The decision effectively ends prospects for broader disclosures that Attorney General Pam Bondi had previously suggested were forthcoming and contradicts expectations that high-profile associates would face scrutiny.
Victims’ advocates and several lawmakers condemned the announcement, noting that Epstein’s longtime associate Ghislaine Maxwell remains in prison for trafficking minors. Critics argue the conclusion leaves unresolved questions about who benefited from Epstein’s crimes and are calling for congressional oversight and the release of redacted records.
So here’s the very strange thing…
In the DOJ/FBI memo on Jeffrey Epstein, it says there are over 1,000 victims.
This shocked me, as I have spoken to many of the major figures involved in this case, including some of the attorneys representing Epstein victims.
They never
This new DOJ memo admits there are countless victims of Epstein on video but no client list or evidence of other rapists they can charge. Oh it claims Epstein wasn’t using videos as blackmail.
So Epstein was trafficking these underage girls to nobody? Is Pam Bondi serious? No
DOJ releases 10 hours of surveillance video they say proves Epstein killed himself.
The official story for the past 5 years was the cameras weren't working and the guards fell asleep.
Now, the official story has changed. I wonder why...
So three months after we sued for the Epstein records, @AGBondi DOJ and @FBIDirectorKash FBI leak to left-wing @Axios (not to the Court) that Epstein killed himself, had no "client list" and suggest @JudicialWatch and the American people essentially won't get any more records
FBI is clearly covering up for big names that would be exposed if the remaining Epstein files were released.
They’ve had months to go through this stuff and could’ve redacted it all by now so it could be released.
This is an epic failure. No new charges will be brought. Sad!
Pam Bondi never confirmed the existence of a "client list".
She confirmed the Epstein files were on her desk for review, but said she hadn't opened them yet. At that point, she didn't know if the files did or did not contain a "client list".
