An internal Pentagon watchdog has criticized the Department of Defense (DoD) for its lack of a formal policy to report and track Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs), also referred to as Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP). The DoD Inspector General reported that without an overarching UAP policy, there is no assurance of national security being maintained in the face of potential UAP threats.
