DNC Files Lawsuit Against North Carolina, Trump Seeks Trial Delay in Election Interference Case

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) has filed a lawsuit against North Carolina over a Republican-backed election bill. Prosecutors in the Georgia election interference case are seeking testimony from RNC chair Ronna McDaniel and conspiracy theorist Alex Jones for the trial of lawyers Kenneth Chesebro and Sidney Powell. Former President Trump is requesting a trial delay to review classified documents he allegedly stole, and he wants to subpoena the successor to the Jan. 6 committee and other entities in connection with the federal election interference criminal case. Trump's lawyers are also pushing for his classified documents trial to be postponed until after the 2024 election. The judge overseeing Trump's upcoming trial scolded prosecutors for postponing a hearing on conflicts of interest for one of Trump's co-defendants.
