Congress leaders are ramping up their preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections with a series of strategy meetings and grassroots engagements. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge convened with party leaders from Bihar, Punjab, and other states to discuss election tactics. Himachal Pradesh Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri stressed the importance of creating a strategy and an action plan post-consultation with the High Command. Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring attended a strategy meeting about a potential alliance with INDIA bloc parties in Punjab. Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal disclosed that over the past three months, the party has engaged with Pradesh Congress Committees from 26 states. Sam Pitroda, Chairman of Indian Overseas Congress, is hopeful about the Congress & INDIA alliance's prospects in the 2024 polls. Rahul Gandhi, alongside Kharge, has been strategizing with state leaders. Additionally, Gandhi made an unplanned visit to Virender Arya Akhara in Haryana at around 6:15 am to observe and participate in the day-to-day activities of wrestlers, including an interaction with Bajrang Poonia. Venugopal announced the Bharat Nyay Yatra, set to commence on January 14th from Manipur and conclude on March 20th in Mumbai. This yatra aims to interact with youth, women, and marginalized groups, covering 14 states and 85 districts across 6,200 kilometers, including states like Manipur and Nagaland. It will be flagged off by Kharge. BJP leader Nalin Kohli made remarks about the timing of the yatra, linking it to Rahul Gandhi's international travels.
