Canada Imposes C$29.8 Billion in Retaliatory Tariffs on US Goods After Trump's Metal Tariffs

Canada announced it will impose retaliatory tariffs on US goods worth C$29.8 billion (approximately $21 billion USD) in response to President Donald Trump's tariffs on steel and aluminum. Canadian Finance Minister stated that the tariffs will include a 25% duty on US goods, effective from March 13. The retaliatory measures will target steel products valued at C$12.6 billion, aluminum products worth C$3 billion, and additional US goods totaling C$14.2 billion. The list of affected products includes computers, sports equipment, and cast iron products.
