A proposed 'border security' bill that provided $60 billion to Ukraine and $20 billion for U.S. border security has failed, prompting Senator Schumer to consider a standalone bill for Ukraine funding. Critics, including Representatives Barry Moore, Randy Weber, Troy Nehls, and others, have voiced strong opposition, accusing the bill of putting 'America last' and prioritizing Ukraine over U.S. border infrastructure, which receives 'zero' new funding. They argue that the bill reflects the 'Swamp's priorities' and a lack of strategy from the administration, with some members stating they have voted 'NO on every nickel sent to Ukraine' and condemning the attempt to 'shove another $60 billion for Ukraine down Americans' throats'.
The first “border bill” allocated 3x more money to protect Ukraine’s border than our own. Now that failed, so they’re trying to push the same funding bill for Ukraine to while allocating ZERO to protect our border - which reveals what the whole game was about the 1st time anyway.
The Ukraine-border bill sends $60B in new money to Ukraine and provides $0 in new money for infrastructure for our own border. If you wanted to know the Swamp's priorities, it has always been Ukraine first.
I have voted NO on every nickel sent to Ukraine because this administration has no strategy. We have issues here at home. Yet, the Senate’s “border security” bill provides Ukraine with an additional $60B. It’s obvious where their priorities are. https://t.co/dRE8GT3YAg
The Senate is going to try and shove another $60 billion for Ukraine down Americans' throats because that is more important to them than securing our border.
Now that his "border security" bill providing $60 BILLION to Ukraine and only $20 billion to secure our own border has failed, Schumer will attempt a standalone bill to send money to Ukraine. We must oppose Schumer's back-up plan that once again puts America last. https://t.co/wWcF3ktuE6
