In Delhi, former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister and senior BJP leader, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, has stated that he will fulfill any role assigned to him by the party, following a meeting with BJP chief JP Nadda. Meanwhile, controversy has erupted as the BJP is accused by the Congress of removing a portrait of Jawaharlal Nehru from the Madhya Pradesh assembly. The portrait was replaced with one of B R Ambedkar. Protem Speaker Gopal Bhargava and Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla have commented on the matter, with Shukla suggesting that the Congress should welcome the addition of Ambedkar's portrait.
