Biden Criticizes Trump’s Gulf of America, Panama, Greenland Claims, Citing Distrust in Europe

In his first interview since leaving the White House, former President Joe Biden criticized former President Donald Trump's remarks about U.S. territorial ambitions, including proposals to rename the Gulf of Mexico as the "Gulf of America," reclaim the Panama Canal, acquire Greenland, and make Canada the 51st state. Biden questioned the appropriateness of such statements, asking, "What the hell's going on here? What president ever talks like that?" He emphasized that these ideas do not represent American values, stating, "That's not who we are. We’re about freedom, democracy, and opportunity, not land confiscation." Biden also expressed concern that Trump's comments have fostered distrust of the United States in Europe.
